Seasons...

Well it looks like the season is about to change. I know it is only March, and March can be one of the snowiest months in Minnesota. However rain is expected today and for the next 48 hours. That means the snow will be dissapearing, the grime will hopefully wash away and prepare for warmer temperatures to warm the earth and bring spring surprises. My son even wore shorts to school today! Looking forward to spring. What is your favorite season?

Cabo Here I Come.....

Well after much thought and planning, we finally booked our winter/spring vacation! We are going to Cabo San Lucas at the end of March. I am so excited, I have been to Mexico before but never to Cabo. I look forward to relaxing by the pool with my family. I am hoping that the beautiful surroundings will inspire me!

Purpose....

I am a 43 year old wife and mother of 2 children 18 and 16. I have reached a time in my life where I dont feel my purpose. I say feel rather than see, I see my purpose I am a mother, wife, employee...however my kids are older and do not need me quiet as much as they use too, my husband and I have been married over twenty years we have fallen into a routine, work....I have had this job for 10 years, nothing much has changed. I need to feel my purpose!

A few of the girls I work with (young 20 something girls) are looking to further their education and go back to school to get a degree, both are going to get their LPN license. I was jealous...I know I could go to school and do the same, but I am 43 do I really want to become a nurse in my mid 40's and then have a student loan to pay off when I am done!!! So I took a hard look at what I wanted to do...

I am a full time Office Manager, and I design jewelry in my spare time, I thought what could I do to improve either of these jobs. I looked into classes at a local community college. I found non-credit on-line courses...continuing education courses, a 6 week course for $99. I thought PERFECT! There was so many to choose from...I focused in on what I could do to improve my jewelry business. They had everything from Marketing to Web Design, to Creative Writing. Well after much investigating I have enrolled in the class of "Marketing your Online Business" I start Feb. 17th. I am very excited and very hopefull that I will finally feel my purpose.

Changes..

Well, as you can see I am trying to change the look of my blog. I really hate how it is so long and narrow. I would like to increase it to 3 columns. So I am searching everywhere for instructions on how to do this, so far no such luck. I do like the new green background and my header picture. So here is my question...when you first set up your blogger were you happy with it? How many times have you changed it? Have a great Wednesday, the week is 1/2 over!

The Vikings road to the Superbowl comes to an end...

You know I am really not a football fan...(diehard hockey mom...yes) but with all the hullabaloo going on this year with the Vikings signing Brett Farve, I could not help but jump on the fanwagon. I have to admit it was pretty exciting to see them advance as far as they did, it was difficult though with all the questions I had for my husband and son everytime I watched a game..."whats a punt?" "quarterback sack??", "1st down?", well needless to say I eventually learned alot, cant say I will retain it until next season. Thanks Vikings for a great season...There is always next year. Now the big question, what do we do now on Sunday afternoons???? I say shop, my hubby says "Ice fishing of course!"

Hello world...have been away for awhile. I am still having trouble grasping this blog thing. I would love to post daily, but run out of things to say...no let me rephrase that I never run out of things to say, just wonder if it is interesting to others...Well, Happy Thursday!
